Racing Together

Welcome to the drag racing team website founded by Michael Schultz. His family, including Liz, Gregory, and Noah, are integral members. Together, we build and race cars as a united team.

Teams Uniting:

Joining forces with another team not only accelerated their progress but also fueled our excitement.
We had been floundering for some time. We bought cars and built cars. We sold some, and kept some.
Time at the track was pretty scarce, though. We needed a boost to get off the streets and onto legal tracks.
Safety has become more important since my family wanted to join in the pursuit of speed.

Michael Schultz founded a racing team, involving his family: Liz, Gregory, Noah. They collaborate on building and racing cars together.

The team united with another group 2 years ago to enhance skills and share knowledge.

This collaboration provided a kick-start in drag racing and valuable insights into alcohol blown dragsters.

Michael's passion for racing is shared with his wife and sons, fostering a strong bond.

How much time do you spend between heats working on the cars?

We basically spend all the time between heats working on cars. With Outta Time Racing, we have 4 cars racing at each event. The two alcohol blown cars need work done to them between every time down the track. The Fairlane, which Michael drives, doesn't need much work between heats, so he usually assists with the other cars. The fourth car is a Corvette that runs very reliably, so it needs fuel and the batteries charged between runs.

Why do you have to tow the dragsters back from the end of the track?

The alcohol cars use the fuel to cool the engine. They use a lot of fuel to go the short distance, especially at high speed. They can use 3 gallons in 1/4 mile. They are usually out of fuel by the end of the track. Because of this, we have to tow them back to the pits for refueling.

Learning on the go.

Time to meet our team!

Come to one of our races and look for our team. Outta Time Racing has a large semi truck
race trailer that is very easily spotted. We are usually close by, most of the time
sharing pit space with them.
